Do so, then speak to the Forest Spirit in there. You can loot the Temple Rune from Balberith, along with a key that will unlock the cage in the center. Once he dies, you'll resolve The King's Dark Deal. He has a high dodge rate, so freezing him may be the only way to give your melee attackers a chance to consistently hit him anyway. In fact, you can consider casting Rain and an ice spell to keep him frozen and controlled. You should prefer Water Shields, because Balberith is susceptible to freezing. If you have the spells or scrolls available, be sure to shield your melee attacks. ![]() ![]() He can generally attack four times per turn, and he hits pretty hard. However, as a result, he has more action points available to attack you. Once the ghosts are “dead,” Balberith will not bother to heal. Magic is ineffective against the Slaves of Torment, so have Jahan and any other casters concentrate on the summoned creatures while your melee and ranged attackers deal with the ghosts. To compensate, he tends to summon allies to help him. However, his healing is proportional to how many ghosts are alive killing them first is the priority.īalberith consumes a lot of action points to heal himself, so he won't have much left to attack you. With all four still standing, Balberith will heal for over 7000 hit points per turn, which will fully heal him no matter how much damage you had done. Every time Balberith's turn comes up, his first action is to heal himself, drawing on the power of his Slaves of Torment. They're guarding a gate, and just inside that (and in front of the hut), you'll spot three enemies, including one elite named Cyclops Spiritcaller.īalberith starts by summoning four ghosts called Slaves of Torment spread around the basement. Back to the swamp, you'll come across a hut, but you'll fave to fight a new set of enemies first. You will meet Bellegar again, this time he open a teleport way to his maze, the puzzle is quite easy and you will probably solve it in 10 minutes. Kill all the eyes as you come to them, take care of the Mud Lord, they are only lv17 but have high hp and resistance, and come in group of 5, you should plan your tactics before charging in.Įxplore the swamp and kill all the Wandering Eyes while making your way east. If you're around Level 17 when you find them, you can likely kill them in the first round, earning you over 5000 experience points with very little effort. As seen above, they're a little small, and they're easily killed. You need to get past them while bearing south east, and you'll see the swamp area becoming more prominent.Īs you explore the swamp, you'll encounter many enemies called Wandering Eyes. You may want to consider sneaking past them or just waiting until they're far away. They are Level 18, and if you're even at Level 17, it's a very difficult fight. As you keep moving, the screen may shake because there are three Death Knights patrolling together. Proceed slowly, and you may want to save first. Go back to Greal, then go southeast instead. You can take only one item before all the barrels will explode. To do this quest, open any of Bellegar's three barrels. He'll automatically speak to you and trigger the Bellegar's Barrels side quest. If you're in the right place, and if you cleared The Talking Statues side quest back in Cyseal, you'll encounter the wizard you freed named Bellegar. If Jahan is in your party during the conversation, you can speak to him afterward to trigger The King's Dark Deal.Ĭontinue east across the tiny stream, then turn north while bearing slightly east. He'll update you on the situation and point you in the direction of the next major storyline objective, which updates Follow the Wizard. To the southeast of where you start, you'll find a curious creature name Greal that you'll automatically talk to. There is a winding path around the fatal poison cloud, so the entire party will be safe as long as you proceed slowly and surely. The easiest location to farm for a little experience is to the southeast of where you start.
